LSU Student Life & Enrollment is eager to partner with you to enhance student success inside and outside the classroom.
Our mission is to recruit, admit, engage, retain, and graduate
a diverse student population for success at LSU and beyond.
We enhance learning by fostering critical thinking and ethical responsibility
to create a university experience that transforms lives.
Support from LSU alumni and friends is essential in meeting our commitment to student success as we promote engagement, retention, graduation, and transition to a career. Our vision for creating an environment that fosters student success is rooted in values of ethics, collaboration, character, community, stewardship, and assessment.
Current giving opportunities and key priorities include:
Student Experience Fund -- Programming & General Support – Our programs, activities, and services offer students a positive and supportive living and learning atmosphere. Whether through leadership development, volunteer and service activities, student employee training, wellness and recreation, concerts and festivals, student organizations, or other opportunities we offer, there are many ways you can help transform student lives. Your unrestricted gift to this fund can help develop impactful and significant new programs, events, and activities, as well meet needs in unfunded or underfunded areas.
Resource Centers -- Our division is comprised of seven major departments offering programs and services across campus in numerous facilities. With LSU’s ongoing effort to enhance the student experience, new and updated resource centers are a critical need. Today's modern university requires an evolving range of services with fully integrated technology and communal spaces. Examples include Career Services, tutorial centers, Student Advocacy & Accountability, University Recreation, and Veteran & Military Services. Your support can provide expanded online services for internships and practical work experiences, additional support for students in crisis or transition, improved recreation facilities, and other key resources.
- LSU Family Association -- Dedicated to helping families with their transition to the university, we offer support, information, and problem solving throughout a student’s time at LSU. We also provide opportunities for parents to directly partner with the university in the student experience through volunteer projects and the Family Association Council. Your unrestricted gift to the Association can benefit the Student Emergency Fund, scholarships, programming for incoming or current students, or other urgent needs within Student Life & Enrollment.
Academic Success -- We enhance the learning experience through resources, services, and facilities, such as the Residential Colleges program, Disability Services, and the Center for Academic Success, which serves as the university's central learning center. Through learning strategies, tutoring, study skills, supplemental instruction, ADA accommodation, and living-learning communities, our co-curricular programs have been proven to increase student academic performance. Your gift in this area can subsidize additional tutors, provide advanced technology, and fund success initiatives.
- Scholarships -- We are dedicated to providing affordability and access to all students as well as helping them achieve their educational goals. We award scholarships to students based upon academic achievement, standardized test scores, high school records, and need. Awards can include direct funding for tuition, fee exemptions, residential college rent assistance, on-campus room/board, and employment opportunities. Each scholarship is established with specific qualifications and can be awarded to both in state and out of state students. Your donation can support an existing award or create a unique one.
We are prepared to discuss annual, endowed and planned gifts, as well as corporate matching programs. We want you to connect with LSU Student Life & Enrollment in a way that is meaningful to you. Partner with us to transform lives...
